The Arizona Food Code requires the person in charge to demonstrate knowledge of foodborne illness prevention by passing a certification test from a nationally accredited program.*

Always Food Safe’s Training and Exam is accepted throughout Arizona and will be valid for 3 years.
The Arizona Department of Health define their requirement below:
‘The PERSON IN CHARGE shall demonstrate knowledge in compliance with the FDA Code, by being a Certified Food Protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of an Accredited Program’
Did You Know?
Always Food Safe’s exam is part of an ‘Accredited Program’ and will be accepted by Health Inspectors across the whole state.
In order to receive your Food Protection Manager certificate, you will need to complete the exam in a proctored environment.
