Plus, in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, a Person in Charge is required to have a Certified Food Protection Manager on duty during all hours of operation.
To obtain the certification, one must take a course and pass an exam accredited and approved through the state’s health department. Always Food Safe’s Training & Exam is accepted.

Oklahoma has an official State Meal which was designated in 1988. The meal is quite extensive and reflects the state’s historic and current agriculture and cultural background. The meal consists of: fried okra, cornbread, barbecue pork, squash, biscuits, sausage and gravy, grits, corn, strawberries (the state fruit), chicken fried steak, pecan pie, and black-eyed peas. We’re full just thinking about it!
In order to receive your Food Protection Manager certificate, you will need to complete the exam in a proctored environment.
