First, you need to be certified by an ANAB-accredited and DC-approved CFPM program like Always Food Safe. While a food safety manager training course isn't required by regulations, it’s strongly recommended to help you pass the CFPM exam.
Once you pass the exam, take your original exam certificate to the DC Health Food Protection Division to receive your Certified Food Manager ID card.
