State Regulations

Nevada laws require there to be a Person in Charge at any food establishment at all times. In many counties, that person must have completed and passed a food safety training course accredited by ANSI.

All counties require persons in charge to be able to demonstrate knowledge of food safety regulations to a regulatory authority.  

To be compliant with the counties that require a Food Protection Manager certification, a person in charge must have completed 8 hours of training and have passed an exam. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
