    South Carolina requires all of its food establishments to have a Certified Food Protection Manager on duty when the business is open.

    Managers must take an accredited course or pass an exam every 3 years to remain compliant with Rhode Island’s food safety laws. Copies of each Food Safety Manager’s certification must be kept on file and posted at each location along with the license to operate.

    In order to receive your Food Protection Manager certificate, you will need to complete the exam in a proctored environment.
