We now offer our customers the ability to take their Food Manager exam from the comfort of their own homes through the use of remote proctoring.
This is a step forward in food safety certification, so we wanted to answer some of the commonly asked questions about this proctoring option.
Remote proctoring gives you the ability to take your Food Manager exam from the comfort of your own home, using our online proctoring service and your home computer. Traditionally this exam would have to be supervised in person. With developments in technology, it is now possible for us to proctor (supervise) your exam from a distance.
It’s simple, and you can take the test whenever you are ready, no scheduling is required!
To start your test, simply log into Always Food Safe on the Google Chrome browser and follow the prompts to add the Honorlock extension. Setup takes less than 10 minutes!
Once connected, a video of your exam session will start. If the proctor has any concerns during your exam, they will reach out to you through chat. You can also chat with Honorlock at any point for assistance.
The video session will end once you submit your exam for grading, and the session recording is sent to Always Food Safe for review. Your certification will be available in your account once your session has been reviewed by our team.
The price of having your exam remotely proctored is the same as going to an exam center: $48.
