State Regulation
Here are some of the state regulations for the New York Alcohol Certification:
- Statewide has no timing requirements however many employers have company policies requiring the training to be taken withing 30-60 days of hire.
- 18 years of age is the minimum age to sell
- 3 hours of training required
- 70% is the minimum passing score on the final exam
- There are unlimited exam retakes
- Certification renewal is required every 3 years
- As part of New York's specialized process; additional PPI is collected.
- Training only becomes mandatory if an offense occurs
