Here are some of the state regulations for the Texas Alcohol Certification: 
  • Training must be completed within 30 days of hire
  • 18 years of age is the minimum age to sell
  • 2 hours of training required
  • 80% is the minimum passing score on the final exam
  • There are 2 exam retakes
  • Certification renewal is required every 3 years 
  • As part of Texas's specialized process; additional PPI collected; additional certificate cost
