Deadline Alert: Current alcohol servers must be trained by March 1, 2026
Under South Carolina House Bill H.3430, anyone who is currently selling or serving alcohol must complete approved alcohol server training by March 1, 2026. This deadline applies to existing employees; new hires must be certified within 60 days of employment.
- Current bartenders and alcohol servers
- Restaurant and bar staff who sell or serve alcohol
- Managers and supervisors overseeing alcohol service
- Any employee involved in on-premises alcohol sales
